About the filmmaker
Gregg McPherson began making video productions in 2007. He had enjoyed a successful career in R&D management and wanted to explore a new, creative direction for his work. His earlier efforts were focused on short videos for non-profits and university continuing education activities. He has studied video production formally at the DV Workshops in California and the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University. A Knock at the Door was his first feature-length production. He has recently completed his second feature length documentary entitled, Jack, which tells the story of an infantryman in the famed 10th Mountain Division during World War II.
