Paulette Terwilliger
Paulette Terwilliger, the subject of the documentary A Knock at the Door, was born Paulette Cukier Forst in Paris in July, 1942. She and her mother survived the war and emigrated to the United States in 1957. Paulette became a French teacher and taught for many years in Connecticut. She has spoken to numerous school groups about the Holocaust and her family's experiences during World War II. She has two children and three grandchildren.
